In February, 1951, the 23rd Infantry Regiment engaged in a fierce battle that has since become known as the Battle of Chipyong-Ni. In a intense thee day fight, cut off from all supply lines, the 23rd staved off four Chinese Divisions that were threatening to overrun the 8th Army. It was here, the 23rd Infantry Regiment earned its time honored name “TOMAHAWKS.”
We invite you all to join the Regiment as we honor all those who fought in this distinguished battle.
